Light, entertaining, wholesome love story with a hint of mystery and an inconsistent southern drawl. The characters and plot were interesting, and there were just enough twists to keep it surprising. Some of those twists seemed a little random, which detracted from the strength of the book. Although I really wanted to like Jill, the main character, she seemed a bit too changeable in her nature and affections to be completely believeable. Despite the negatives, it was a quick and compelling read, and would make a good "beach book". I will definitely pursue the next book in the series. I enjoyed this book tremendously. Nancy has completely captured the quirks and joy of living in small town America. And she's populated it with heartwarming characters that jump off the page and into one's imagination. The mystery had just enough twists to keep me wondering about the outcome. If you want a fun, page turning read that takes you away and puts you smack dab in the heart of a story, then this is the book for you.
