Forensic Investigator Reilly Steel is good at her job, FBI trained and considered one of the best in the world. But, not everything is perfect for Reilly Steel, her father Mike is an alcoholic, her sister is locked away in prison for killing her mother and another man years earlier and her new boss doesn't believe in forensics. Reilly leads her team, collecting clues from each crime scene all related to Freud. What Reilly doesn't realize is she is caught in a game of cat and mouse with the killer that only one will survive. This is a good story but drawn out to the point, you find yourself skimming pages to get back to the actually story. I enjoyed this nicely paced suspense thriller. The characters had depth and there was good foreshadowing that allowed me to have an aha just before the characters in the book had the same aha, as in I knew just a few pages before the book revealed it. This book was good enough that I will be reading additional books in the series. There were a few minor oddities where the character from California says, thinks, or does things that someone from the US would not do. Still the story line was engrossing enough that I could suspend my need for all things to be correct and just enjoy the story.
What do You think about Taboe (2011)?
Great read, with lots of twists and turns and the final one I definitely didn't see coming!

this was a very good read, but it ends right in the middle of a very intense scene.
