Received a complimentary copy for an honest review. What a strong stubborn wall built around her heart. 27year old Paisley allows it to slowly crumble after a silly bet with her bff. But will it be to late to finally let it crumble to get the happiness she deserves? My favorite line is: "But the most important thing is that we keep loving. We have to believe that at the end of the day, the love we have is worth all the bad stuff, because all the good stuff is what makes it so amazing." I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading Tag Chaser. Paisley has been damaged by things in her past and doesn't trust anyone enough to be in a relationship. She has a best friend, McKenzie who is there for her always. Paisley, however, won't open up to her best friend about why she doesn't trust relationships. That part of the story line is why I gave this book a 3 instead of 4 stars. Paisley's reasoning really did not add up in my head and I had a difficult time seeing as that being the "reason" she didn't want a relationship. As common as it is in America, I found it anti-climatic when she finally shared what her hang up was to McKenzie. McKenzie bets Paisley that she can not go one year without tag chasing (only dating military guys because they are bound to leave). Soon after the bet is made Paisley meets Corbin Ray. I have to say that Ms. Steiner did a wonderful job on her male lead. I enjoyed the character immensely. I really liked Steiner's writing style and it could have been 4 stars except for the back story on Paisley's pain and distrust.
