That Girl Started Her Own Country (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

Rating: 6.5/10.0Review: I was actually disappointed by Holy Ghost Writer this time around. The book was interesting, but the dialogue was rushed, the scenarios weren't realistic, and the technological terminology wasn't on key from a hacker's standpoint. I feel that the book left you hanging without giving out many answers to the plethora of questions. The book WAS a page turner which added to the score I'm giving, but because of how the book ended and how the dialogue and scenarios didn't feel real, I had to score lower than I usually do for Holy Ghost Writer. I'd still recommend this to people, as it does have a lot of fun tied into it, but be aware that this book is a novella and is part of a series!Reviewed by IABookReviews.com When I was first approached by the Author to review this book, I was intrigued as to what I might be getting myself into. Then after reading comments that indicated that this is a 'Fan Fiction' sequel to the Millennium series by Stieg Larsson I was even more intrigued. Not having read any of 'The Girl With, Who" series (OK, I know, my bad), I was not sure if I would follow the storyline, however while I believe there were snippets of the previous story lines, one is able to read and follow the plot without feeling that you are missing a lot of background information. Lisbeth has now become Zaydee, and Stieg Larsson makes an appearance as an actual person.I enjoyed the character of Zaydee she is a strong willed and competent heroine. There are just enough plot twists to keep the reader entertained and keep the story moving forward. A lot of research has also been undertaken into the world of hacking and mathematics (I know, an interesting combination right), one could actually believe that the author is in fact drawing on life experience.Overall I enjoyed this book, and will be looking to read more of the adventures of Zaydee.
