I really rate this one 3 and a half stars because it didn't grab me the way his other books have. A family looses all their material possessions. They move to a run down trailer park and an unlikely friendship occurs between an elderly lady and the daughter of the family who just moved. Cancer becomes a big part of the book which I really didn't like!!! But the conclusion wraps everything up into a big, bright, meaningful Christmas lesson of faith. I had some great catchy creative review for this book yesterday...but it has left me now. I finished this book 5 minutes before it was time to leave for church. I had book in hand while eating lunch, getting dressed and hollering at the kids to get in the car. I just couldn't put it down till I had finished it....not many books like that for me. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was fortunate enough to share my "thoughts" of this book with a very large group of people yesterday with a moments notice(which I don't do very well), I recommend that all you read it so that you know what I was talking about....you might find yourself reading it and saying to yourself "is that what she was trying to say!....oh ok" :)
This is an amazing story of friendship & the meaning of Christmas. May be a yearly read!!!

Not as good as I was hoping from Wright, but touching and unexpected nonetheless.
