This is the kind of book that takes me awhile to finish because the grief the protagonist, John, experiences fairly pours from the pages & I can only handle so much. I cried. I smiled. I appreciated the words of wisdom and the snippets of spiritual understanding were encouraging. It is the kind of book I could see being a great comfort to someone who has suffered a loss (though the ending really threw me for a loop). It may not be literary greatness, but overall is an enjoyable book Too sappy for me, although the story was good it was too tragic. I realize that while this story is nonfiction it is also a reality of many people's lives. No one mourns alone and no one has to. We all mourn losses and I can only imagine how hard a loss like this would be. Overall it is a nice story that teaches humanity in a way that has the potential to bring out the best in all of us. It also has the capacity to touch the human heart in a special way. A good, easy, but tear-jerking read.
Good book we listened to on our road trip. It was a little bit of a downer, but had a good message.

I wish I had known it was a religious book. But it was well written and a nice story.

Loved it from the first to the last. Down to earth and though provoking.

The end was different than I expected, but it has a good message to it.
