He’d see to it. “You’re here.” She pushed away from the table. He was on duty, responding to an emergency, and someone else was in the room with them. Neil didn’t care. He went to her and took her trembling body in his arms. “Are you all right?” “I’m fine.” He needed to know for certain and touched her cheek with one hand. Her skin was cool.
