Let me start off by saying that I loved this book. This is A. G Riddles first book and at times you can tell when you're reading it. It's very fast paced with lots of character introductions that end being not very important. Once you figure out which characters to pay attention to it gets really interesting really fast. There are times when the author repeats information too often, but this book kept me hooked from start to finish and had some interesting ideas about human creation. This is a self-published first novel, and as such, has some flaws. What I liked about it was the level of detail in the premise. I'm a sucker for pre-historic civilizations, unexplained mysteries and the fanciful ways in which authors weave stories around them. I read this some months ago on the recommendation of my writing partner, who had created a plot he felt was similar. (It wasn't.)A few days ago, I started to read the sequel and found myself lost enough that I had to re-read this one first. I found the second reading much more understandable than the first. That probably isn't a good thing, since most readers will give up if they can't sort things out in the first reading. However, I'd still recommend this book to anyone who, like me, loves a good twisted plot with lots of true scientific detail cleverly woven into the fiction. If you're reading for escape instead of reading critically, you won't notice the flaws. BTW, this book has held the #1 spot in Amazon's technothrillers category for months now. With over 8000 reviews averaging 4 stars, I think most people agree with me that it's worth the read.

Not the worst book I've read but I won't be reading the rest of the series.

Disappointing. This had so much potential but it eventually fell flat.
