I loved this story. A troubled ex marine and the woman he loved, a recipe for a good book.Megan has an emergency arrive at her vet's practice one night and is shocked to discover that the dog arrived with her ex boyfriend Adam. Adam had left her to join the marines, the last time she'd seen him was after a funeral. Megan had been hiding a big secret from Adam for 3 years. Adam is in town for business when he discovers Meg's secret and the fact that someone is trying to frame her and ruin everything that she has achieved.A great book full of emotion, good characters and twists in the plot. I look forward to reading the next in the series. Unfortunately, I had a really tough time finding my groove with this book.Adam, the male lead in the story, rubbed me the wrong way from the very beginning.Demanding, pompous, and arrogant. Definitely, not male lead material. Ironically, I am drawn to the alpha male a**sholes, who eventually break down, and let love in. But that is not the vibe I got with this book.Really, just didn't do it for me.
What do You think about The Baby Bargain (2013)?
Loved the story but Adam...man...quite a selfish jerk. Glad he got over it!

It was kind of boring. Nothing too fascinating happens.
