This book was actually pretty good for its genre…until the end. The final chapter with the hero and heroine getting back together and finally revealing their feelings for each other (along with pretty much every member of the family saying "I love you" and what can only be a clunky tie-in to other books in the series or it's sister series) was almost painful to read. But up to then the book was quite good. Overall i liked the story. My issues with it? She was a virgin. God i am so sick of the innocent virgins. Can't an experienced woman be desirable? They had unprotected sex and she couldn't use the morning after pill? He was a controlling prick which was bordering on verbal abuse the entire story. I'm so sick of seeing women in stories being so ignorant to everything. This story was really a step back for women.
I love a good series by Melody Anne, pure escapism.
