The Bridge To Never Land (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

The Bridge to Never Land is by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. It is book five of the Peter Pan and the Starcatchers’ series. Unlike the others, it takes place in America as well as London and Neverland. It lacks an edge that the others had; but it is still a fantastic book. I highly recommend it and the series. Aidan and Sarah Cooper were arguing and Aiden hid under the desk in his Dad’s office. Coming to look for him, Sarah caused him to hit his head and open a secret compartment. In the compartment is a vague note. They set out to figure out the clue. They finally figured it out and it lead them to London. Luckily their family was vacationing in London this year. They had both read the books about Peter Pan and the starcatchers. Sarah believed the clues had something to do with the Peter Pan books they had read. She is determined to find out where the clue leads them. After quite an adventure in London, they find a gold box with stardust in it. They also discover that Ombra was still alive and searching for stardust. Can the kids find out where to put the stardust now that they have it? What do the ravens have to do with it? Will Ombra be alive at the end of the story? Really? I'm assuming they turned a "donkey wheel" to save the island. When should we expect the next installment? Not that I'm excited to read another book in this series. I think we're done. I know I am. For those who've never read the first 4 books, you will probably be lost. However, it is not necessary to read this one after reading the others. I kindda liked how the Sword of Mercy ended and almost wish it had really stopped there. Not sure what fans wanted more, but I hope they've had enough now.
