Requires willful suspension of disbelief. Then, unsatisfied, demands that it be gutted, drawn and quartered, burned, and buried in a mass grave. Then you turn to page two...Also has no characterization to speak of, and the writing leaves out just enough detail that you're never quite sure what's going on. For example, in one scene one character slides down a shaft. He talks to the other characters, who are presumably still at the top of the shaft. Next thing you know, the characters at the top of the shaft appear to be in the same room as the original faller, with no mention of how they got there. The Grey Griffins are a group of kids with special powers, and they are being trained to fight forces of evil, including evil fairies, werewolves, and other monsters. At school, they find that the Clockwork King, a Templar foe from the past, has returned to steal the souls of changelings to power his army of clockwork war machines. This book has lots of action, adventure, and magic that will appeal to all age groups.
