The Cowboy's Christmas Plan (2000) - Plot & Excerpts
I have read this book twice and enjoyed it both times. Cadence finds out her fiancée has run off with his secretary. She leaves town to spend time with her Aunt Viv & Uncle Joe. She is a horrible waitress and when 2 cowboys come to town looking for a cook & housekeeper, she accepts the job. What she doesn't anticipate is falling in love with one of them. When a little girl suddenly has no where to go, they decide they will take care of her. Will a Christmas miracle happen for sweet, adorable Cass? I am definitely going to read more of this series! Good, clean, and a fun read. A contemporary 'cowboy' romance, this sweet wholesome winter tale got upstaged by an adorable little orphan girl named Cass. Cadence Greer had just been dumped by her fiancé, quit her job and relocated from Seattle to the outback Oregon community of Grass Valley where she was hired on to cook and housekeep for the Thompson brothers who run a prosperous ranch. She just wants to start over, however..... Oldest son Tray Thompson just wants to keep it on a professional level with Cadence and have her help out since the death of his father, however......That doesn't last long since the flame of romantic attraction was lit early-on! It is also just like a lovable recently orphaned little girl to hijack the romance and charm everyone around her with her exuberance and sweetness. How this die-hard professional cowboy and the sophisticated city girl try to adjust to each other and maintain their composure in each other's presence is highly entertaining stuff. Along with a cast of warm fuzzy relatives, friends, and acquaintances, who conspire as match-makers, this made for a heartwarming Christmas romance.
