Yay Epic Fantasy Adventure series!... The books are quick pace and have a lot going on for a YA novel. While the series contains a lot of action, it's not as detailed or highly climactic action as most fantasy/adventure books are, which I found a little disappointing. Instead the series focused a lot more on the politics and struggles of the characters. I felt like this was my driving interest in the series, watching the characters develop and how the relationships between these characters changed as events in the books progressed.Characters: 4Plot:3.5Writing: 4World Building:4 A satisfactory conclusion to the series! This is the fourth and final book in the series and I think if you have already read the first three you won't need much convincing to read the final book. The Crimson Crown follows along the lines of what we have come to expect of Cinda Williams Chima's writing style, it is consistent throughout the books. We follow Han and Raissa's trials and tribulations. We find out more about Alger Waterlow and it seems like his descendants will parallel history with their forbidden love story. There is a lot of action and intrigue and many loose ends to tie up.
I read the second book and I was held in a spell until the very last word.

Excellent series - well suit to 'young adults' but I am far from that and I enjoyed it thoroughly
