The Daily Show With Jon Stewart Presents Earth (The Book): A Visitor's Guide To The Human Race (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
OK, full disclosure. I'm pretty much a sucker for anything that comes out of the mouth of Jon Stewart and his gang of ruffians. Earth is a pseudo-visitor's guide for space travelers who might have stumbled on our little unsuspecting planet and it wants to explain us in fairly succinct terms. It's wonderful. Totally hysterical. Very, very funny. You'll have a good time. Oh, you might be offended, too, but overall you'll have fun. Everybody gets it, just like on "The Daily Show." What can I say? This audiobook was hilarious!!! Witty, fun, and full of insightful jabs at America and the world, I couldn't help but laugh out loud quite a few times while this was playing! If you love The Daily Show, John Stewart, and his cast of pundits, you will thoroughly enjoy this fast and entertaining pseudo-textbook for aliens! (PS I first started reading this book in print, and while funny, I think that the audiobook, with it's humorous vocals, is more of a success. It did win a Grammy after all).
