I have always enjoyed Sarah Bells work but due to the setting of this one I put it off and to be honest forgot all about it. Luckily for me I have recently fallen in love with Medieval themed books and was reminded of this one while searching through my TBR folder.Sarah Bell did not disappoint me. I was soon engrossed in this tale of Kings and Kingdoms. Watching Gareth and Alric fall in love and cheering them on as they faced the Evil Denmar. Through losses and returned family, through desertion and faithful friends I was taken on a roller coaster ride of Good Vs Evil and delivered to the perfect fairytale HEA.My only niggle is at myself for putting this one off for so long. Somehow I forgot to review this book.Nice fantasy, with nice characterization. Both the hero are not come into insta-love or love at the first sight thingy, and both are not dashing-hero kind of guy. They have their own scars and being strong with it.It just that somehow I can't get interested enough with this story to be my favorite. I don't know why. Maybe it was because of the twist, or the lack of it. Or maybe it was the villain.I don't know, really. And this story kinda just passed my by, even now I kinda forgot what I've read in this book. ._.
Tis a shame... book had potential... the writer... not so much. High fantasy tis not, pet.
