I read the original trilogy of books the preceded this Epilogue some time ago. The last one of those book's did end with somewhat of a question mark and I didn't realize until now that this Epilogue answered that question mark.That said, this is heavy BDSM. I found the first three books interesting about a man blackmailing a woman into being his sex slave because she had embezzled money from his company and he had been looking for a way to take advantage of her.In this Epilogue the guy has turned into a complete psycho and she is just pathetic that she allows him to do what he does to her, even while her daughter is in the house. She claims she loves him but wow, if this is love I want no part of it. My dislike for the book was not in the writing or story telling, Gemma James is a good author. Its just that the story itself is pretty disgusting. This series had me hook line and sinker. I was completely caught up in this twisted love story. Broken people healing each other the only way they know how. This book was gut wrenching at times. I loved the ending though. It was incredibly emotional! A perfect HEA for these characters.I love Gage. I probably shouldn't but I have a soft spot for the guy. His past is sad and shaped who he is now. Which can be a terrifying character. Oh Kayla. I don't know how I feel about her sometimes. I love that she stuck with him even when she wanted to run away. I also love that she would do anything for her daughter. Again a great read. Not for the faint of heart but I highly recommend.
I read this book just to finish the series. She was weak and he was the devil.
