This was a 3 1/2 star for me. It was nice to get a little backstory on Nick's past and know how he became the powerful man that he is. My only problem with this book is I felt like there was a whole separate story about Nicks past just inserted in the middle of the book. I still devoured it because I thoroughly enjoy the characters and story. Looking forward to the next one to see how Nick is going to handle his situation with the Barron and protecting his family. This book kind of took a toll for the somewhat supernatural. Idk how to feel ab the ending and the revelations that werr brought forth in the end. But to get the insight into Nick's past helped me understand what created the powerful man. Hopefully the devils masquerade will give some insight and answer all the questions i have boiling up in my head. Good story so far but idk ab all the devil stuff lol
