The scientific debate was woven neatly into the story. And even if the novel does not correctly portray the science or the debate (I don't know) it does a good job of presenting all the forces at hand when scientists & other stakeholders don't agree on 'the facts' at hand. But the rest of the book was not very tightly written and there was a lot of gross drama (yes, I know murder was involved) and individual hysteria that I found either distasteful or boring- perhaps b/c it was a translation & the language didn't flow...? The Dinosaur Feather was a murder mystery novel. So many mysteries revealed in the novel. It was originally written in Danish and takes place in Copenhagen in the Institute of Biology and the Natural History Museum. Anna, a single parent, is finishing up her dissertation for her PhD. I enjoyed reading this book and could not put it down. I think my daughter, Stavana, would enjoy this book since she is doing research for her PhD in disease ecology and her husband is finishing his dissertation this year.
Unfortunately, this book read like a translation and wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be.

Not much to do with the mystery, but the ornithology part was very good.
