Mark Teague really can put together a book with action. The book was pretty interesting and that is why I gave it a three on ratings. I personally think that the book was good. when I first picked up the book and read the first page I thought to myself that it would be full of action and adventure. the book has three parts and they are on three different planets. I think that the book is mostly for boys although a girl can still read it. I would recommend this book to a boy even though a girl like me can still read it. I was surprised at how much I disliked this book--after all, it's a kids book. But shouldn't there be interesting characters, a plot that's well paced, and an ending that you look forward to reading? Sadly, The Doom Machine has none of these. Teague drops story lines and picks up new ones as if he's choosing apricots at the farmer's market. After slogging through 350 pages the ending comes so quickly that a few characters are left hanging--barely a mention of them after all this time! Not recommended!
