The Druid Series 1: Reapers (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
Well, I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I don't mind the erotic part, or even the rape part, but what gets me is that there's no real depth to the story. There's no humor either. It's kind of like the author was rushing from one sex scene to the next and barely filling in the middle. I know these are short stories or whatever, but maybe it's just not my style. Otherwise, the writing is good and there's plenty going on to keep the reader from being bored. Ever seen a car crash? Or come across the yellow crime scene tape, while the Police are working there? Though you know it's completely wrong to stand and stare, you can't help it. All these morbid images flash through your mind. Part of you is hoping to get a little peek. Maybe you knew the person. Maybe you want to be the first to break the news. Maybe your strong power of CSI observation would be able to solve the case.Pointless blah-blah, I know. But if you read this series you will understand exactly what I mean. The majority of it is very cringe worthy. Hell, it made me reach for a glass of Baileys (mmm, Baileys) by the third chapter. And believe me, that's not a good thing. I don't know what I found more irritating - the heroine or the males. It was damn obvious some kind of Stockholm Syndrome warped the bloody woman. It's like "Yea, just take advantage of my friend, all good, I got me a hot Vamp. What, you wanna turn too? Sweet as, she dresses trampy, so what the hey!"But like an epic collision, I gots to get more of it (better restock my liqueurs too!) There's a few great ideas in here that have me cornered. I need to see how they play out before I can give it to my to-read list, or relegate it to the delete files.
What do You think about The Druid Series 1: Reapers (2013)?
BDSM fetish story. Not much plot or character development.
