The Ex-Boyfriend's Handbook (2006) - Plot & Excerpts

This book had it's moments and was amusing, but nothing great. I still don't understand why Edward is friends with Dan, at least not after Edward starts to grow and realize he needs to make himself happy. Edward says Dan's a great friend, and while Dan does attempt to give advice and does show up when asked, he's very selfish and shallow. He always expects Edward to pay for his drinks, and seems more of a leech than a friend. Edward's growth seems pretty realistic on the process and realizations. This book turned out to be more interesting that I thought it would be (honestly, I can't seem to survive most guy-written story because I don't get the male humour of things). Matt Dunn might just became the male author I look out for when I shop for books at the bookstore. Predictable ending, yes. Typical guy sense of humour, yes. But the writing style is refreshing compared to the many others out there. That made a difference for my reading experience. Kudos, Matt!

What do You think about The Ex-Boyfriend's Handbook (2006)?

Really enjoyed this one. It was like reading the man's version of "Bridget Jones's Diary".
