The Exile Of Gigi Lane (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

This book was not that great. I was ready to throw in the towel after only 50 or so pages, but decided to stick it out. It did get better, but only marginally.I never got a feel for Gigi at all and the entire Hot Spot concept was very confusing. I had no idea what was going on in the beginning of this book, and then all of a sudden Gigi was in Alaska and "exiled". The whole thing just felt very off.For a seemingly cute and mindless book, there wasn't anything cute about it. Gigi falls from the top and goes to the bottom by Daphne "dog-faced" Hall who suddenly decided that it was time to say something about her after a couple of years of "tips." Eepecially on PROM night. But you would never guess who was behind her becoming a free-agent or clique-less as you may say. But I guess you have all ready I might as well tell you . . . wait for it (for dramatic effect) . . ALOHA and . . HEIDI!!! But Gigi is going to find the truth about . . . I'm not sure I should say this buutttt. . . THE HOT SPOT!!!! But Gigi might need the friend she always had but wasn't there for her when she needed Deena girl the most. She learns all that she needed to on her senior year of Swan Lake. you have to read it to love it. but you may HATE Aloha.

What do You think about The Exile Of Gigi Lane (2010)?

I really enjoyed the middle section of this book but didn't love the beginning or the ending

Another one for the popular-girl-falls-from-grace-but-learns-something-in-the-process genre.
