Another winner from the Queen of Cliffhangers. This book drew me in from the very beginning and had me completely enthralled for the next 5 hours. I literally couldn't put it down until I was finished. t.h. snyder knows exactly what she is doing and she does it wonderfully. She makes you fall in love with her characters so that you are laughing and crying right along with them. Hank is a fighter. He is fighting for his career and he is fighting his feelings. Taryn is a family friend and has had Hank on her brain most of her life. She doesn't understand his reasons for hating her but once she is back home and employed at her fathers gym there will be no avoiding him. Can Hank focus on the fights coming up or will Taryn's presence be too much for him to handle? ****There were so many times while reading this that I just wanted to slap Hank for the way he treated Taryn. I also wanted to shake Taryn and tell her to give up on Hank and look at his brother, Trenton or best friend, Mike. This was a rollercoaster of emotions. I didn't know who to route for and when. It was one of those "cant we all just get along" kinda reads. ;)****Favorite Quotes and Lines**** (possible spoilers)I could feel the adrenaline pumping through the wires of the metal cage and knew one day I wanted to fill their shoes. -HankIt was a battle of skill, intensity and power. I wanted to harness that power and conquer everything....I wanted to be a champion. -HankMy Amazon account notified me of a new author I had never heard of and thought I'd 1-click her first book Letting Go....holy shit, I'm hooked, this woman is crazy good. Author J.M Witt is a genius and there was no way I was putting my kindle down until I was finished. -TarynHe's everything a woman wants in a man, charismatic, devoted, hot as hell and swoon...a master in the bedroom. Be still my heart, I think I'm in love with a fictional boyfriend. -TarynGetting involved with someone always seemed like more of a chore than a good time. - TarynNo frowns allowed I don't need wrinkles this early in life. -TarynFeeling so drawn to her is something I can't stop, it's unnerving and I want it to stop. -HankI can't help myself; he's all I've ever thought about. He's the one man that has haunted my dreams and made reality a living hell. I need to do this, just once to see if anything sparks. -TarynBreathless we both pull away and stare into each other's eyes. I was hoping for a spark to ignite, but what I got was a Fourth of July fireworks show. Whatever just happened...I know I what I want. I want more.I want Hank. -TarynAll this time I've hidden my feelings for the one woman I could never have. -HankIt was a mistake, Taryn, something that never should have happened. Take your bag and go home, pretend like none of this happened and we can continue on with our lives as we always have. -HankEven if I have to wallow in my own self pity for the loss of the woman I want...Taryn Morris is the one girl I can never have. -HankMy body desires his touch, my mind wants to hear that he wants me and my heart longs to be his. -TarynYou're going to wreck me, Taryn. Everything I've ever wanted and worked so hard for, it could all be gone in the blink of an eye because I'm willing to choose you. -Hank "OMFREAKINGGOSH I LOVED IT!!!!!!!" 5 Stars... only because that's as high as we are allowed to go!!I had seen the teasers sand cover all over facebook, I knew I had to read this book...just from those alone!!! Until I started reading it and found myself drawn into the lives of Hank, Taryn, Mike and Trenton...I didn't realize how much I was going to love this book. Even from the beginning I was yelling at Hank for stupid decisions. I had tears sitting there waiting to fall at several parts of the book. I never knew I could get so lost in a novella, but this book is no ordinary novella. All of the characters are AMAZING!!! I loved them all, but I have to admit Hank is my favorite. T.H. Snyder's way with words and her ability to draw you in right from the beginning has me not only LOVING The Fight, but I am impatiently awaiting the other books in The Fight Series, and I am also seeking out her other books as well.Reviewed by: Tammy
What do You think about The Fight (2000)?
I'm kinda half and half on this. I think the storyline is good. I wouldn't mind reading The Battle.
