I loved this series, and was completely engrossed in it. But this final book was a big let down for me. It started out really good, but the ending was terrible. The series was leading up to this big battle between good and evil, but in the end the battle I expected and hoped would come, and be won, never came. There was a tinny little battle in a different "time" (so to speak), but it was hardly anything at all. TAlso the last few chapters were super hard to read and boring. I was so disappointed that Chris took something so amazing, magical, and adventures, and turned it into a boring deflating ending. I believed in the characters, I believed in the dragons, and the magic, and mystery, and adventure, and in the end he turns the whole thing into reality and it sucked. In the end he erased all the magic, adventure, and all the wonder from the whole series. It was a huge let down. I'm shocked how proud he is of this book, and how many people loved the ending. I still can't believe he destroyed the magic of the series:( *****Summary*****This was one of the best books I have ever read. It started in the olden days when Agawin was saving Grella from the Ix. The best thing about this book is that is has to do with the time line. Agawin falls off the same cliff twice. The first time he gets teleported to the future. The second time he gets saved by fire birds and gets turned into Alexa, the main characters daughter. The problem in this book is that Gwilana changes the past which changes the future. In the end Gwilana dies saving the world so everything is ok. *****Main Characters*****Agawin- He is 12. Has blonde hair and is very brave. He travels the land on an adventure to save a girl. He has horrible fighting skill and poor act of smartness. Well until after the fain enters him and a dragon. After the dragon enters him he turns into a fighting beast.Grella- She is young not sure what age. She was touched by a unicorn when she was a baby. She has blonde hair and very pretty. She gets taken the enemies. She ends up getting killed by her own dad. She was a "slave" for a time until her dad found her and killed her.*****Setting*****This book all started back in time when Agawin was 12 (before he traveled through time). He had a "father" named Yolen. They were in a cave when they heard a yelp of help. They left the cave and saw a dragon injured on the mountain side.*****Conflict*****The conflict in this story was great. The conflict was Voss trying to turn himself into a new creature called a darkling. He was killed BY Agawin. He then came back in the future to stop David.*****Resolution*****The resolution was David defeating Voss and evil Zanna. David was captured and put into a cave and then later his daughter came. Alexa saved the day using the clay dragons her grandma made. David and everything else turned normal again and Alexa (Agawin) always stayed Alexa.*****Opinion*****This book was one the best books in the series. What I like most about this book is that they used time travel to change the book up a bit. In all the other books they just went back in time and showed what David was like before he went to the Penttykettles. This is a great book and an amazing series. If you like the first book you won't stop reading the others.*****Recommendation*****I would recommend this book to you if you like fake things. If you don't, well, good luck reading this book. If you don't like fake things you won't enjoy this book. If you don't enjoy this book you won't understand the book. So read it if you like it.
