This is the second book in the series. I really like how Kady Cross keeps you on your toes through out the entire book. Always exciting and this time also an unexpected ending... well sort of. I loved the change the characters went through, they all became friends. This book is about love, trust, friendship and all that while trying to save the world. Though I really like Griffin more after this book- I mean who wouldn't- I did miss Jack. Looking forward to reading part three of this exciting journey. This book is a great continuation to the Steampunk Chronicles and I really enjoyed the change of scenery that it brought whilst still maintaining all of the main characters. I really enjoyed getting to read about Finley taking the lead on a plan and playing games with the enemy as it showed how she is cunning and inventive which is great in a female protagonist. I also thought that all of the characters became more real in this book as you got to see different sides to many of them.
Just as good as the first (one of the first books where the 2nd book is just as good as the 1st)
