The idea behind this series is marvelous! The writing of these tales, however, is another story. I absolutely loved the concepts of these "Diaries", but the grammatical errors and the amateurish writing made me want to slam my head into the wall several times through the duration of reading them. Some of the dialogue between characters was just completely ridiculous. But the stories themselves were interesting enough to make me push through those problems. There is much promise for this upcoming series and I sincerely hope the author can clean up some of those issues in his next books; and if he can deliver that, this series is bound to be epic. Once I finished the prequels 1-6 I went ahead and grabbed these ones up too. I liked these and I think I was partial to Moon and Madly the most but these first six were my favorite. I really see a lot of potential with this author because of the way he can delve into these old fairy tales and find new ways to entice the readers; especially with the lore he creates when it comes with the Dreamland, vampires, and the Immortals. I honestly was thoroughly confused on who was evil, who was good, and who was just a mixture of the two sides. I think we are going to find a lot of gray areas in book 1: Snow White Sorrow. But that works for me and makes me even more excited to get my hands on Book 1. I do believe he really needs to do a better job of editing. There were times I was baffled as to what was trying to be said because of all the errors throughout the story. I usually try to look over these mistakes, if the story has such an amazing story line, but there was just too much to overlook. I hope he takes the time to really do a thorough job of proofreading because I believe the story he has to tell is pretty amazing in itself, but only if he can work through his mistakes.
