Atticus Higginbottom--known as Tick--and his friends Sofia and Paul are embroiled in a showdown with the evil Reginald Chu who plans to rule all the Realities with his Dark Infinity. Mistress Jane is given a more nuanced treatment and fleshed out which took the reader from dislike to sympathy to uncertainty. I appreciate when an author can make a reader look at a character from all sides and slowly change perceptions.Recommended for middle school and young-at-heart readers. I liked this one, but not quite as much as the first. I had the issues with it.1- it took half the book (literally) before Tick and friends knew what was really happening. It was too long.2- she was bad, now she wants to be good? Nah, I don't think so.3- she told him it was unpredictable, but then she gets pissed and goes bad again. Seemed like a lame excuse to have something new to write about.Lickily I like this book enough and all the other stuff to not give up on the series though my issues were pretty big.
This book has some good twist and turns. Great for anyone to read.
