Love the Unwanted books but book 3 is left at a critical moment so there will obviously be a book 4 but it hasn't been written yet. I prefer to read a series after the entire series is out so I wish I would have know and waited to read this series. There were so many open ends that the author is planning several more books in this series. Also, while I like the story, I do have had a hard time with how mature the main character is. I don't think any 15 yr old boy would think that maturely about responsibility and definitely not about relationships. I think the relationship aspect is pushed too much just to make the books appeal to an older and probably more female audience. I would prefer this series without the romance. Fans of Lisa McMann's Unwanteds series will certainly be delighted by this book. (And parents of younger children will appreciate that it isn't nearly so dark as the second one in the series.) Our heroes are back with more artistic magic, to restore and save the world of Artimé. The story moves back and forth between Artimé, Quill, and the island of silence introduced in book 2. We are also introduced to a third island (the titular Island of Fire), and it appears that we will revisit that island in the 4th book.
A real page turner. Can't wait for #4. Great read aloud for classes or home
