His mate was in his arms, her skin to his, and he could have gladly remained right where he was for the rest of time. Unfortunately, Harley was pretty damn sure he was also squishing Alaska, which meant he needed to come up with at least a little burst of energy to get his ass moved from her. Preferably before his little mate expired. Licking his lips, he took a breath and gave himself a countdown. When he hit three, he rolled them until she landed on top and he even managed to keep them intimately joined. Bonus! Alaska’s first shiver had him rooting around for the covers until he could yank them up to protect her from the chill in the room. He tended to run hotter than your average human, so he kept the rooms in his house much cooler than the average. When he scrounged up another small supply of energy, he lifted his hand to push her wild hair off her face and get a peek at her. She looked half-asleep and rather pleased with herself to boot.
