The Kraken King, Part I: The Kraken King And The Scribbling Spinster (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
It's so very very good. That's not all that articulate but it is true. It leaves you on the edge of your seat. I love the character's and their voices, I love the world (though that's not surprising considering I loved Brook's other Iron Seas novels), I love the sexual tension and overcoming trust issues. If I were a puppy, I'd want to roll around it, tail waging, pure joy. It's just that good. I really love this series and was so excited when I saw this book had been released. Then I learned that it is a serial. Ugh. However, I still purchased all of the parts rather than wait for the book and spend less. This book follows Zenobia Fox on her trip to have her own adventures. Given her career as a writer, the format of this book as a serial does have a certain appropriateness. While the beginning of her trip isn't promising, she suddenly finds herself in the middle of a life threatening adventure. And meets a powerful and intriguing man. This is the Japanese (or is he Chinese?) hero. There is attraction on both sides, but each has secrets and it is easy to misunderstand when there is a lack of honesty and openness.sigh, now I have to wait a week until the next section is released.
What do You think about The Kraken King, Part I: The Kraken King And The Scribbling Spinster (2014)?
