This is the second time I am reading this. I am still laughing out loud. The book is basically a series of novellas with points of view changing as couples get engaged. The pace is quite fast with couples falling in love within a few days. I enjoyed it really because it was funny. Small note to the editor/authors: I was extremely disappointed to read "the both of". It's irritating in ebooks that look like they haven't been re-read by the author or edited, but from a Radcliffe/Harvard grad and an English professor it's not acceptable! If you love Julia Quinn then this volume is well worth the read. As always I adored her characters and their marvelous voices. Full of humor, fun, and romance, the first story is a real gem that left me with a big grin and a happy sigh. The second story was definitely not my cup of tea. The protagonists were unlikable in my opinion and I can't comment further than that because I abandoned their story less than two chapters in due to dislike of them and boredom with the plot. The third story was okay. The storyline was predictable, but the characters were likeable enough although I did find Robin more interesting as written in the earlier chapters and more generic in his own story.Overall the cost and time were still worth it to me too enjoy a new story by Quinn. I only wish the whole thing had lived up to her standards.
Cute situation, but again, too short a book for any character development.
