This book is a HOT idea! It's all about, well suppose to be, learning how to seduce a man. That's what the Lovers Academy claims to be all about anyways...Seriously, why don't we have such a place for real?Nancy, a naive 18-year-old, has it bad for her former high school teacher Hunter. After learning that he works at the Lovers Academy, she applies there, in hopes to seduce Hunter. Instead, she is paired with Jaxon, the obnoxious dude from the train she had the misfortune of meeting while on her way to the academy. Nancy was under the misguided notion that Hunter is the one that approved her application, and that he would be her instructor while there. Nancy having no clue of what the Academy is really about, is in for a huge surprise! Hence the naive comment from earlier. The narrator Marami Hung did an excellent job of portraying an 18-year-old's voice. She was able to control her tones very well for each emotion and situation as it was happening in the story. Marami was a very good fit for this character and book. ;)The story line is not just all about mindless sex. There is a surprising twist at the end that I was not expecting. Nancy is easily seduced by Jaxon, and forgets all about Hunter, and Jaxon is not just in it for the love of teaching! The book is only 1 hr. and 42 min., but boy that was enough for me to get hooked! I totally want to hear the next book and find out what that twist in the story is all about and how it unfolds. oh i dont know.i really enjoy the former two of this series, The Ex Games and Private Club.but this is something totally different. i dont feel connected to the character.the hero is too distant. i dont feel the chemistry between the two main character.i see some recuring theme here. a mysterious place where an illegal things might be take place, then an eavesdropping that gaveaway some info, then confrontation that leaves the two main character together, then another higher character that puppeting whole show, then another suspicious hero appear. the different is this getting old because it is not about the Private Club anymore.
What do You think about The Love Trials 1 (2000)?
