Eighteen year old Cassidy wants just two things in life, to get into college, and to be a famous rock star with is band; he is on the verge of attaining both when he receives the fateful phone call, both his parents have been killed in a car crash. All he can think about now is keeping what is left of his family together, himself and his younger sister and brother; everything else is forgotten as he sacrifices all he wanted so as to care for his younger siblings and ensure they get their chance at college.Around eight years later, now twenty six, Cassidy starts a new job connected to the entertainments industry, one with some prospects after years of struggling in a dead end job - with no real education things have been hard. So he does not want to mess this job up, but he's infatuated with his exceptionally handsome and unbeknown to him independently extremely wealthy new boss, and it seems his boss is more than interested in the pretty Cassidy, but can he take the risk of a relationship that just might go wrong and leave him jobless and hopeless again? This is a charming story about a young man who gives up everything for the sake of his two siblings, yet eventual find's more than he could have hoped for in both love and the chance of the career he though he had forsaken. Cassidy is a delightful character, in order to keep things together he plays the responsible young man but inside he is still the wild boy of his youth. His boss, Malcolm, five years his senior, himself a bit of a wild one and with a penchant for wild boys is a decent and caring man, and with the exception of his flashy car he hides his immense wealth. He has a string of failed past lovers, he hopes Cassidy, if only he will get over his fears, might be the one. A few additional complications along the way add to the interest.Well written and generally fast moving, although there are a few passages that tend to dwell a little too much on the angst of one of other character as they ruminate on their plight, simply regurgitating what has already been established in the narrative, but that aside it is overall a very satisfying read. I really liked this. I respect anyone who takes on that parental role for younger siblings when parents pass. It takes character, determination, and strength to do what they do. Kudos. And who doesn't want to root for the underdog, right? And how smexy are sleeve tats! HOT DAMN. Every time the tats were described, I couldn't stop thinking about how they'd feel, taste, look.Such a turn on! Megan, any author who can make a character feel THAT real to me, is worth my time. On to the next book in your series.
