The Neon Graveyard (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

Paranormal? Gifted immortals, but no vampires, fae, wolves etc. A pretty good read, but didn't feel exceptional to me.Good Reads Rating systemMy rating system (*=star)1* couldn't finish book2* finished book, but didn't like it3* a good read4* a very good read often with a novel concept or unusual plot5* an exceptionally good read, a prominent example of the genre Finale`! Neon Graveyard wraps up the Sign of the Zodiac series. Now Jo want's her life, her love and her future to be what SHE wants. And Zodiac help the fool that get's in her way this time: Jo's NOT going to Take prisoners!

What do You think about The Neon Graveyard (2011)?

I waffled a little with this series. On the one hand, every book had some great twists and lots of character development. But the worldbuilding got confusing, and Jo's relationships (romantic and otherwise) in the later books didn't draw me in as well as they did in the earlier books. Much of book 6 centers around Midheaven, which I never enjoyed as much as the Vegas parts of the series. In part, I think this series tried to do too much in too few books; the final showdown with the Tulpa, which we've been building to for 6 books, was anticlimactic after everything Solange put Joanna through.

As the last installment to Signs of the Zodiac this one wraps up all the others before it. Overall I rate this 3.5 I would be remiss if I didn’t state that there were things I found lacking and more than a few times I wanted to skip the section. This wasn’t the best of the best by any means and the climax was a little anti-climactic for me. But it did wrap it up and end the series so if you have read this series you have to read this one.

I don't get the ending. Oh well. Maybe if I think about it a while, I will.

So disappointed that this was the end of this series!!!
