This is a darling book! I love the clever twist on "The Night Before Christmas." The author did a wonderful job changing the words so they described St. Patrick's Day, but still fit with the rhythm of "The Night Before Christmas." Instead of watching for Santa Claus the children are watching for and trying to catch a leprechaun. I was smiling and laughing as I read. Kids will love the story and delightful illustrations in this book. Definitely recommend! Natasha Wing’s book, “The Night Before St. Patrick's Day,” is a wonderful story that celebrates the magic of this Irish Holiday. The story follows Tim and Maureen through the preparation, fun and excitement of this glorious day. The two siblings ready themselves by hanging streamers and preparing homemade leprechaun traps. My favorite part is when Wing writes, "They set all the traps 'round the room with great care, in hopes a wee Irishman soon would be theirs."Mom prepares green eggs while Dad plays the bagpipes and the story culminates with a leprechaun search filled with adventure and mischief."The Night Before St. Patrick's Day" shows parents and children how they can make special moments from the most simple things. The story also illustrates the beauty and innocence of children and their ability to BELIEVE.Make your St. Patrick's Day extra special this year and pick up a copy of Natasha Wing's book, "The Night Before St. Patrick's Day."
