This is a riveting world that will delight adults and children alike! I met Christine Brodien-Jones at a writers workshop at Lesley University and told her I'd read this book. I'm so glad I did! Now to have my two children read it! The book is compelling, fast paced, and entertaining. I want to read a companion book! Thanks, Christine, for a fun read. I'm glad I met you and your memorable characters! Max's life changes when he is told that his grandmother died. A new caretaker looks after him while his parents work harder every day. Max is told he is allergic to the sun, and finds himself out late most nights hanging under the owl tree. He meets a girl, Rose, and the two of them find themselves in an adventure they never dreamed possible.I would rate this 3 3/4 stars if I could. I enjoyed the story, felt it was a quick read, and loved where the plot took my imagination.
What do You think about The Owl Keeper (2010)?
Just couldn't really get into the story, so stopped reading it.
