Book starts out slow and almost dull and boring, yet is the backdrop to almost explaining and understanding the world that Jessamine lives in. This comes into full view when Weed arrives on their doorstep and Jessamine nurses him back to good health and becomes his confidant. This two grow closer together and develop a relationship that is both pure and innocent and built on trust. Jessamine's father is another story and he is harder to understand in the book. When he is finally understood, the twist is sad, bittersweet, and almost revolting. And yet, as you learn through the book, there is a reason for all and an end to all....time and the Prince of Poison makes that timing known. Read this in one sitting! 1.5 stars. Seems like one of those books I would've liked better before I started blogging! Here are my notes as I was reading! (They're more my reactions AT THE TIME so I wouldn't take them as a review lol)WHAT A NAIVE CHARTOLD NOT SHOWNExpected Weed to be this mysterious stranger. Instead a rather slow boy...THIS IS THE LOVE INTEREST????No development of their friendship. Is this what old YA was like?ALL. BIPOLAR. CHARACTERSI'm sorry but you seriously just BELIEVE him?Literally he's the first dude she actually KNOWS it's no surprise she fell for him
What do You think about The Poison Diaries (2010)?
The prefect blend of dark fairytale, and hopeless destiny. And the way it was written was amazing!
