Perhaps I'd give it a 1.5, because I neither liked nor disliked it. It was fairly evenly in-between, and if it'd had more funny moments I might have upped it to a 2, maybe 2.5.I wasn't fond of the writing style (or the first person narrative), which always makes it a lot harder for me to get into books. Even though it was only 60-some pages long, I found myself skimming through (And perhaps because it was only 60-some pages was the only reason I finished it).It had some moderately funny moments (none to laugh out loud, but enough to make me smile a couple of times, but nothing like what I expected from the title and cover), I liked the idea of the story behind it but the ending ruined it for me, and the characters I didn't really care much for (also part of why I skimmed through). Just when I was starting to care a little about the characters, the story was ending/ended.Lovely cover, though. It was, in brief, quiet a letdown and one of those "Don't judge a book by its cover" moments. I loved this book, it was so much fun! I got to spend the day with Charlie and Bobby as they battled zombies -- all sorts of zombies -- from zombie crickets to polar bears to poodles, all done with flair (and creamed corn, who knew?) while both of them making sure they were properly accessorized! Loved Mimi, their schizophrenic pet zombie poodle -- and the sweet and "steamy" hot love scenes too. Sometimes you just want to read a book for sheer fun and giggles. This book delivers both and more. I'm really loving this author!
What do You think about The Poodle Apocalypse (2013)?
It was okay, kind of sweet but a lame "Bobby Ewing" ending.
