I need to send out a sincere "Thank You" to the author for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.I can't praise to the authors ability enough writing a book that pulls out so many emotions, not just from her characters but their ability to do do the same through us the reader. This is not a simple romance. The main characters of Aleksandr and Erin are strong characters that in some or most ways have overcome their pasts. There meeting is fate. Pasts and present collide. This book has a lot of darkness which tugged at my heart and kept me reading throughout the night and day. Wonderfully written with an endearing cast of characters, a complete and discriptive storyline and an ending that is sure to please. I loved this story.. i actually read Aria in Venice first and It actually helped me understand what was going on in the Prelude a lot better.. It filled in a lot of the blanks that i wouldn't have otherwise known. They deffinitely go together..Prelude was a much stronger book i would say.. i don't mean better i mean in the characters.. Alek was more determined to get what he wanted and Erin didn't give in since she's not the typical batt your eyelashes and giggling kind of girl.. she's a strong and fierce, say whats on your mind no matter what kind of girl..She's perfect for Alek. Sometimes two of the same type of people belong together just as much as two people that are very very different.I loved this story.. Just thinking about Alek's brownish-blue eyes makes me want to know exactly what they look like. Dreamy i'm sure..If you read Aria already don't expect Prelude to be as mushy as that one.. This is more of a primal love affair.. More of the two bodies needing to be together but in a rougher sort of animalistic way.. Two people drawn together from pain and only they can help each other..it was a beautifully written story full of excitement and you will enjoy the story of Alek and Erin.
