I enjoyed the story but I certainly would have enjoyed the story much more if we could keep books like this as PG-13 as opposed to having soft pornographic sections. How on earth can this be listed as children's fiction? I have long been happily married and I just don't think the graphic sex scenes are necessary. I get the picture without the description. I just had to fast forward through those sections and honestly it makes me feel guilty to have read the book but I am being real and posting it here along with the other wonderful and sometimes questionable books that I have found to read. I feel that this book was on such a fast-paced progression I could not keep up with it at times. The storyline was different, but only to a certain extent. The romantic aspect in the novel was a bit too much for me with the declarations of love that seemed to come a day after the initial meeting. Altair did not feel like a battle-tough warrior with a soft interior, but rather more modern and boring. It might have just been me who thought this, but I could not really stand Becca and her childish thoughts on life and love. Overall, the book was okay, but any sequels would really need an overhaul on plot and character development for me to pick up and read.
boring and annoying at the same time. i guess it's aiming at funny. not for the likes of me.

2.5 starsI liked it but I found myself getting easily bored/distracted from the story.
