OMG! Where so I start? First off I love the characters in this series. Nik, Shane, Drake, Jesse, and Emmie stole my heart in the first book. The story of their lives growing up and the way they cared for Emmie was emotional. ***** Spoilers*Jesse and Layla's story does not have quite the emotional pain as the first. Layla has known pain in her life. She was kicked out at age 16, had a rock star father that wanted nothing to do with her, and took in her 2 sisters when her mother died. She has vowed that she will never fall for a rock star and turn out like her mother. But when she takes a job as a housekeeper for Demon's Wings, that all changes.Jesse falls hard for Layla the first time he sees her. He knows she is the one for him. Now all he has to do is convince her. But that is not easy. She hates rockers. When he finds out who her father is and how he treats her, he understands. When Layla misunderstands something she hears Jesse and Em talking about, she feels like a fool for ketting her guard down. Can love overcome her fear?I love the character progression in this book. You still get to have a look in the lives of Nik and Em, but you get to meet new characters as well. I love the way the characters interact with one another to create one big happy family. Five stars. The Rocker That Savors Me is the second book of The Rocker Series. The main characters of The Rocker That Savors Me are Layla, Demon's Wings' housekeeper and Jesse, the drummer for the band. These characters are also well-written. The chemistry between Layla and Jesse is sizzling. We get a couple of hot sex scenes and quite a few scorching kisses. The banter between them is sweet and funny. But also serious at certain times. The scenes with the both of them are tender, which made me smile. I guess it's true. Jesse really is a sweetie. In this book, we added a couple of new secondary characters. Lana and Lucy, Layla's younger sisters. They are both well-written and are rather sweet. And luckily, they mesh right into this crazy family. The concept and plot of the book again, have been done before. But Terri Anne still manages to make it a bit fresh with these band members and their ladies. The book was great overall. And my favorite one so far. I don't think any of the other band members will take over the spot that Jesse holds in my heart. Especially after the ending!I would recommend this book for sure. Can't wait for the next one with Lana and Drake.
