The Runaway Dragon by Kate Coombs is about a young girl who owns a legendary dragon, as a pet. Her dragon, Lacy, then runs away from her owners castle. The young girl embarks on a long and risky quest to find her beloved dragon. But she isn't the only person that desperately wants the dragon. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read adventure books, and anyone who likes dragons. This was the sequel to Runaway Princess and I loved both books! This one was especially fun because Coombs made intentional references to both well-known and little more obscure European fairy tales - definitely has me on the hunt for some collections read. Anyway, I really enjoyed Meg's Quest to find her dragon and hope that the stories continue! Adventure, mystery and romance are all in this one.
