The classic boy detectives by Frank Dixon--I read ALL of them in my younger years, one I ran out of Nancy Drew books. The Hardy Boys are brother amateur detectives, aspiring to follow in their famous father's footsteps. The two boys live in the fictional city of Bayport (on Barmet Bay) with their famous father, Fenton Hardy, a private detective formerly with the New York Police Department, their mother Laura Hardy (erroneously called Mildred in The Flying Express), and their Aunt Gertrude, a character often used for comic relief.
What do You think about The Secret Of The Lost Tunnel (1950)?
Good Reads 1st period Hirshman Book: The Hardy Boys: The Secret of the Tunnel Author: Franklin W. Dixon A: Young teens who like solving mysteries B: 4 stars C: My thought on this book was it was really eye popping. I would have to keep on reading it because every chapter was getting better and better with cliff hangers. Opinion on this book is it's really good. I love the Hardy boys series. My feelings toward this book was funny, shocking, and breath taking. The chapters had its moments when I would laugh. Other chapters I was hanging off my seat. Ready to take what comes next. I had some ideas to this book like some mistakes Chet makes I would want to change. But the book was perfect. Same as my ideas when Chet makes mistakes. D: The big idea is two young boys solving a mysterious case of 4 good bank robbers.
