What do You think about The Sex Chronicles: Shattering The Myth (2002)?
The Sex Chronicles...where do I begin? It's short stories put together by Zane that have people and their sexual escapades. This book has everything. Some things are shocking...and some things are just flat out crazy but either way this book grabs your attention from the first page.I liked the book although some books like Triple Crown they have more than just sex like the have the thug drug dealer who is in a situation. After a while you already know what's going to happen so it's like why read the rest? But once you start reading you'll know there's more to it...lolz

I'll be honest; I couldn't finish this book or any of the others that she's written. Too much explicit sex for me. I'm well over 30 but I still couldn't shake the feeling that my momma or one of the old nuns from grammar school was gonna come up behind me and smack me for reading what they'd probably call "smut." LOL I am not taking anything away from Zane, however. She seems to be a very good writer with a huge fan base. I appreciate her talent, unbridled imagination, boldness to think and write outside the box that some may think she should be in, and success...even though I can't read her books. :-)

A matter of taste, and in my opinion, not up to the mark. The writing is pedestrian, the sex isn't really that inventive, and I know it's all about the fantasy of wild, inhibited sex-for-the-sake-of-sex, but I have the feeling that these stories were a production-line effort. Update #1: For research purposes :) I've been told that Zane has a formula that works for her audience, so I have to check it out.Update #2: So far, she's hitting a reasonable balance between variety and repetition, although the "and we f__ked happily ever after" fantasies get a little ho-hum.Update #3: The score at half-time: Kenny G 2, G-spot 1 Why does smooth jazz have to be such a cliche in erotica?Update #4: Sometimes cliched, sometimes ludicrous - but no one's here for the writing, are they?Update #5: I can't believe I read the whole thing.
