The Shadow Children, The Complete Series: Among The Hidden; Among The Impostors; Among The Betrayed; Among The Barons; Among The Brave; Among The Enemy; Among The Free (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
I loved this series! I could read it over and over and never get bored with it. I want to read them again soon, and if I got them for Christmas, I would be glued to the couch for weeks reading through them all. I think this series has a great plot and a really cool message about survival and pursuing your own happiness through others' actions. All in all, an excellent set of books that I would suggest to anyone. Started the series when I was in middle school and loved them. The perfect dystopian series for that age group. I recently re discovered the series, and reread the books from my middle school days, finishing with the newer novels- eager to learn how the story ended. In my memory the books were much more complex then reality proved to be. They were quick reads, and did lack the depth of many more popular Y/A dystopian novels. None the less, the series is perfect for the younger age group it was intended for, and so I could not give an altogether low rating.
