The Song Bird (Siren Publishing Ménage Amour) (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
She blinked, knowing something was different. She didn’t have windows in her room. She didn’t have a large bed she could stretch out on. Suddenly, the events of the previous night came crashing into her mind, and she sat up quickly, bringing the blanket with her. The soreness between her thighs made her flinch, and she swept the cover away to see dark stains upon the sheet, proof of her now missing maidenhead. The door opened, and Avilon jerked the blanket back across her body. Jason walked in holding a tray. Their eyes met, and he smiled at her. She knew it was meant to calm her, but truthfully, her mind was too consumed with what had happened to appreciate Jason’s apparent ease. “I brought some food,” he said. “Some cheese and bread. Tea. I’m sure you’re hungry.” She took a deep breath. “Yes. Thank you.” He set the tray on the edge of the bed. Avilon pushed herself up until her back rested against the headboard.
