Three days later, something strange happened. A male nurse came to my room. I noticed an MP standing right outside the door as it opened. “Get dressed,” the nurse said. “Some people want to talk to you. Be ready in five minutes.” “OK,” I said, a little confused. I figured I was going to meet with investigators or lawyers. I was sure that whatever it was, it would have something to do with the assault. I was escorted to another wing of the hospital. The nurse led the way, and the MP walked behind me. I looked down the halls and into the rooms as we walked. I was right. The place was empty. “Isolated” was the word that scurried through my head. I quickly shooed it out, but it came back. Isolated, but not deserted, I thought. The place was clean – so clean if fact, it looked like it had hardly ever been used. For some reason, I found that a little creepy. I wasn’t sure why. They took me to a windowless room. A rectangular table dominated the space. Two big chairs loomed behind the table as if they were ganging up on the smaller chair on the other side.
