Leo receives a visit from a future self and an unknown girl, and his investigations lead him to the New York Circulating Material Repository and the mysterious Wells Bequest. This is a fun time travel books instead of the fairy tale items in the Grimm Collection, this book focuses on the sci-fi items in the Wells Bequest. It's not necessarily a true sequel (we don't get to see if Elizabeth gets her sense of direction back, for instance), but it's set in the same place and Jaya is a main character. The big threat in this book is kind of stupid, especially compared to the first book, and Jaya is a little annoying in her quintessential goodness. It was fine, but I have to say that for most of the book, I wanted to tie Jaya to a chair! My GOD her rashness is annoying! I could barely stand her as a side/support character in the first book. This was just too much Jaya! And I have to agree with come other reviewers that her behavior, while still annoying, made more sense in the first book when she was ten! Now at sixteen, I wanted to gag her! No wonder Leo keeps covering up her mouth to shut her up! The only unbelievable part was that he was still in love with her despite her behavior. Simon was just ridiculous. He threatens mass destruction and his punishment is that Jaya finds him his soul-mate?!? What the hell? Lame. I'm done with the series at this point. I agree with the others; I'm left with the feeling that it could have been so much MORE.
What do You think about The Wells Bequest (2013)?
The sci-fi sequel to The Grimm Legacy. Fun, didn't like quite as well as the first.

I liked it. It really teaches you a lot of things in an interesting way.

Good, but not as good as the first one.
