This is a story of Gemma. Her life from the outside looked like it was a dream. Her boyfriend was an up and coming actor with a successful TV series, she was happy and content. Then it all exploded in front of her. Her life, her boyfriend and privacy all gone. All because her boyfriend, Ren, decided to cheat on her and it was made public in a humiliating way. Gemma had to move out of their house they shared and start a new life even though she was plastered in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. When her best friend offerered her a place to go to start over, Gemma was thankful and took it. Her self esteem and life had taken a huge hit. She had to learn to stand on her two feet with her best friend helping her at her side. Not only does she find who she is but she gets other great friends and a possibly new love in the process. This story I loved because Gemma not only found herself but finally found that there is hope for the future. Enter Landon.....A new neighbor, ex surfer, refused to believe in hope or a future dude........He was the product of a shitty childhood and too much fame at a young age. He made bad choices and thought there wasn't any reason to believe he would ever become anything ever again. He was a nobody. This is a story where he finds his worth, the backbone to stand up to his past and maybe a reason to hope for a better future. I really enjoyed this read. I did it all in one day! If you want a good read that tells of growth, hope and love then this is your book! I'm no sure why I gave this book 3 stars, but I think that is because it wasn't so good for me. I can see that i'm minority here, but I feel like some things weren't so well explained, I couldn't feel the love. I like the plot, but i think it could have been best developed. I didn't like so much of Gemma, I liked Landon but couldn't understand some things about their relationship. It was a good book, though a bit slow.ps:sorry for my errors, english isn't my first language
